docbraces launches Homeroom Hero campaign to support Canada's classrooms

Back-to-school season feels different this year. Whether students are in classrooms full-time or partially, Canadian Orthodontic Partners and its docbraces member clinics across Canada want to make the transition a little easier. With this in mind, the Homeroom Hero campaign is offering patients and members of the surrounding communities the opportunity to receive kits containing protective face coverings and hand sanitizer to share with their schools.

We are so excited to congratulate Dr. Yona R. Vandersluis for receiving the American Association of Orthodontics' (AAO) 2020 Thomas M. Graber Award of Special Merit for her thesis paper, titled “Comparison of dental outcomes in patients with nonsyndromic complete unilateral cleft lip and palate who receive secondary alveolar bone grafting before or after emergence of the permanent maxillary canine” (Vandersluis et al, 2020). The paper was published last month in the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics (AJO-DO); the most respected peer-reviewed orthodontic journal worldwide.
