We are excited to welcome our newest teammates and clinic to the COP network!

Delta Orthodontic Group has been a strong part of the Delta, BC community since 1984. Founded by Dr. Duncan Higgins, this team of orthodontic experts has been providing beautiful, confident smiles to the community for nearly 40 years!

In our early discussions with Dr. Higgins, it was clear to us that he and his team embodied the spirit of our network, with a focus on continuous learning and entrepreneurship. Dr. Higgins is a leading innovator in orthodontics, having developed an indirect bonding technique and having invented the Xbow® (Crossbow®) Class II Corrector. He has lectured throughout North America and is a regular lecturer to the orthodontic residents at the University of British Columbia. Dr. Higgins is also a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada.

“Dr. Higgins is a true pioneer in our field,” said Dr. Bob Hatheway, Chief Clinical Officer at COP. “We are grateful to him and the Delta team for building such a strong practice and we look forward to learning from them as they become part of our network.”

“At Canadian Orthodontic Partners, we see each day as an opportunity to learn and grow, and we intend to make the most of it,” added Hatheway.

Anthony Milonas, President and Chief Executive Officer at COP, agreed: “We empower our orthodontists to explore cutting-edge tech and innovative ways of delivering superior care. We’re big fans of ongoing learning and peer-to-peer collaboration at every level, making us the most entrepreneurial orthodontic support organization in North America. We welcome Dr. Higgins and look forward to having him play a role in fostering our organizational Value of learning, both amongst his peer doctors and throughout our entire network.”

At COP, we are focused on building a place where orthodontists want to practice, where team members want to work, and where patients want to visit. Our goals as we continue to evolve are for our doctors to be able to focus on creating beautiful smiles; for our people to have opportunities for learning and career advancement; and for our patients to be treated within a clinic experience that is unmatched.

As our network continues to grow with the addition of the Delta location and our newest teammates, we are proud to be moving one step closer to our Vision: to become the icon of orthodontic excellence by delivering confidence to our patients!
